In the Beginning God created a business System

Its not all the time that entrepreneurs look to a spiritual book like the Bible for clues on how to go about starting or running their business. Even as a faith junkie I still always manage to find myself downloading 3-4 Business and or Personal Development audio books per month from the Apple Itunes Store.  It is completely normal to google Forbes, Investopedia, Bloomberg and of course Entrepreneur whenever one wants to see what the experts are doing in their business life. When the idea for the blog hit me I wasnt even reading the bible or working. Everyday I check up on a billionaire or two as these individuals are the first people we think of when it comes to " Big Success and Big Business." In the middle of an article from Forbes about Sir Richard Branson and his love for stortytelling, it hit me, the bible is filled with so many stories, are they all just about good and evil?It says In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth , no one has to be a bible scholar to know that. It does take however a bit of revelation to understand what else was created at that same time, some millions and millions of years ago.

I have taken all of Genesis Chapter 1 and broken down each verse collectively and individually to illustrate how God created a system for business success behind the systems of the heavens and the eartn.

Chapter 1 verse 1 : In the beginning God created the heaven and earth.

In the beginning God created a canvas on which he brainstormed, planned and mapped out his vision.  We can argue that he had this dream, idea and thoughts of the world long before he moved a muscle,  The same way our ideas first start in our mind before we ever start working on them.

Verse 2: And the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

God then began to brainstorm, the idea of the world had no structure , God "moving upon the face of the waters" was giving the earth and what was about to be created his spirit, his identity, his footprint.

Verse 3: God Said , let there be light and there was light, 4.and God saw the light, that it was good and God divided the light from the darkness 5. And God called the light day and the darkness he called night and the evening and the morning were the first day.

The very first idea on how to bring life to his creation ( his business) , This is where he began to slowly define the structure of his orgnaziation and he identified strenghts and weaknesses.

Verse 6. God said let there be a firmanent in the midst of the waters and let it divide the waters from the waters 7. and God made the firmanent and divided the waters which were under the firmanent from the waters which were above the firmanent and it was so. 8.And God called the firmament heaven and the evening and the morning were the second day. 9. And God said, let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

Okay at this point God started to gain traction with this creation thing, the word firmanent refers to being tangible,  the concept was formed and there was some structure ,there was then the need to create different aspects of the oranization that would be able to compliment each other . Similar to Marketing and Sales and Accounting and Finance. In order for this to all be tangible the creator of the system had to first work the system themselves. This can go on for a a few months or a few years depending on how fast an organization grows.

Verse 10: And God called the dry land earth and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. 11. and God said let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth and it was so. 12. and the earth brought forth grass and herb yielding seed after this kind, and the tree yeilding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind and God saw that it was good. 13 And the evening and the morning were the third day. 14. And God said let, there be lights in the firmanent of the heaven to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for season, and for days and years. 15 and let them be for lights in the firmananet of the heaven to give light upon the earth and it was so. 16. And God made two great lights in the firmanent of the heaven to give light upon the earth and it was so .17 and God set them in the firmanent of the heaven to give light upon the earth,18.  and to rule over the day and over the night , and to divide the light from the darkness and God saw that it was good. 19. and the evening and the morning were the fourth day

Verses 10 to 19 Speaks about the funcition of each department or aspect of God's orgnizational structure, the system in which was created. An entrepreneur should be able to envision all of this before he or she considers adding individuals to the team. An entrpereneur should have worked in each department of his or her's system or organization and learn how each should function. so before creating anything else there was complete mastery on how each aspect should function. God did the accounting ( grass), the marketing ( tree or herb yeilding fruit) . Steps were taken to make sure that the functins of the organization were in the right environment to grow and develop. There had to be enough grass ( revenue to acccount for ) and the marketing had to be efficient enough to bring forth more sales. These steps were the lights that he put into the firmanent ( tangible work) . The lights acted as indicators for knowing when each function should take place. They managed the functions of each department. The constalations were the first managers ever put on earth.  The next few verses show us that even with these new managers the CEO was still very much involved and began strengthening his system with even more support staff.

Verse 20. And God said, let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowls that may fly above the earth in the open and firmanaent of heaven. 21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 22. And God blessed them, saying be fruitful and multiply, and he filled the waters in the seas, and let the fowl multiply in the earth. 23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.24 And God said, let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind and cattle after their kind , and every thing that creepeth upon the earth and his kind and God saw that it was good.

At this point God has greatly expanded the orgnization, it has experienced  years of success and there has been quite the market prescense built for this "World Venture" . Donal Trump once said that you should always try to fire yourself from every position. This allows you to move on to bigger and better tasks and continue the companys vision and purpose. Now we see that God first did this when  the constalations were hired to govern the energy of the different departments within the orgnaziation.  The next step for the creator of this now world class organization was to hire and expand with more employees that would run smaller structures within the larger structure of the world. Animals were created, the fish in the sea, the birds of the air and the beast of the field. Right here is where God took a huge leap in the circle of life and the organization was almost complete. The system way back in the beginning was now strong and functioned well and each section had an identity. Each creation within the orgnization had a role and the company now functioned on its own whether or not the CEO/Founder went on vacation or not. Upper management was in place and the executive employees helped grow the orgnization.

Verse 26. And God said let us make man in our image, after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27. so God created man in his own image, in the iamge of God he created him: made male and female created he them. 28. And God blessed them, and God said multiply and replensih the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the fish of the sea , and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. 29 And God said behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of the earh, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding see; to you it shall be for meat. 30 and to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat and it was so.

Finally , at this point God decided it was time to step down after many years of hard work upon the earth, a lifetime ( of course he is eternal) of hardwork and commitment was given to the creating and establishment of the world. It was now time to pass on this great system that was created.  The last few verses highlighted abve illustrates the guidelines for choosing your replacement as CEO. The bible says that God created ( mentored) us in his own image and in his likeness. God ensured that this next step left his footprint for ever. That the successor had to be someone that shared the vision of the company, someone of  similar principles ( because not all CEO's are chosen internally). Someone that can grow the business and take it to the next level. We see this in Tim Cook CEO of apple and how under the guidlines of what Steve Jobs started Mr. Cook has been able to grow the technology giant into one of the most valuable companies in the world. It is unclear of who was the first man that God ever created. However if we follow the story line of the Bible, we see that Adam was his first named CEO . The new CEO was left with specific instructions, God said Have dominion and to multiply.

I believe that power given to Adam has been passed down from generation to generation as ability to do the impossible, build world class organizations and have great success in this life here on earth.

Genesis Chapter 1 Verse 30 Says: and God saw everything that he made, and, behold, it was very good........
